Question
I have a 42" LG LCD Model# LG42LP1D-UA It has no picture and when I turn it on the green light ( on the on/off switch ) will flash green 6 times then click and go to a steady red. Also where is a good place to get parts for this ( such as power supply or boards ) Would appreciate any help

Answer
I think this set may need an upgrade; check your serial number and manufactured date on the sticker on the back panel.  Go to:

http://us.lgservice.com/vchip_html/how_to_determine.html

and find your model number listed.

If the upgrade does not solve the problem you may need to have it looked at by an LG/Zenith authorized service center.

Talk with a technical representative or dialog with them on their tech line.

If it turns out something you can repair by yourself try www.partstore.com for parts on this model.

They have many parts listed at:

http://www.partstore.com/Model/LG+Electronics+Incorporated/LG+Electronics%2fZeni...

If the sound comes on it may not be the power supply but the video processing boards. If the picture and the sound is out it is most likely the main power supply (but it is impossible to know for sure without some testing by a qualified technician).

Hoping this helps. Let me know if you need more.
