Question I have a panasonic T.V. that takes 5 clicks with the remote, or button on T.V., to turn on. Is there a way to rest it so it only takes one click? It tuns off with one click...
Answer It probably needs service - or soon will. When it does not turn on with one "click" it usually means there is a problem with either the power supply, the remote control, the IR receiver inside the set or the power controller module. The control module is operated by internal software code and can become corrupted. So, a hard reset has the possibility, say 15%, of correcting this problem but is worth a try. To do so, unplug the power cord for a couple of hours and try it again.
If the reset does not help you may just have to tolerate it until if fails; then decide whether to have it serviced, etc.
If you have further questions I would like to hear back from you.
