Question
TV BLINKS ON AND OFF, PICTURE WAS PERFECT BEFORE, SOMETIMES GET A GLIMPSE OF THE PICTURE, IT LOOKS GOOD, ALSO HAS SOUND. PLEASE HELP

Answer
Is the unit getting old (like over 6 or 7 years)?

ONE: If the set is getting old it could be one or more of the projection tubes going out.  If so, very expensive to replace.

TWO:  Could be high voltage block/generator and/or high voltage deflection amplifier.

THREE:  Could be the convergence circuits going/gone bad.

Unfortunately, in order to know for sure it must be tested by a competent tech who knows how to take some voltage measurements in determining the exact one.

Repairs will be $200 and up.  If projection tube is going out cost of replacement will be much, much more.

Let me know if you need more.

C

PS: There are some adjustments on the biasing of the projection tube(s) that could get you a little more life out of the set - if it is a weak projection tube at the cause, but you must know how to make the adjustments.  If you just google the model number you will find some fixya and other comments that have a number of suggestions for this model.  They may be worth you looking at and trying them.
