Subject: Sharp Aquos 42 inch

Question
Sharp Aquos 42 inch has just developed pink and green horizontal lines in HD.  This only occurs on some channels (for instance, TNT and USA, and not any of the MLB channels).  DirecTV says that it's the TV and not them.  Any suggestions?  Thanks!

Answer
This can be  a grounding problem.  Common with many newer digital capable models. See this forum note:
(Even tho this comment is for a different model, it applies)

The problem can also be a video processor malfunction. I could tell more if you would send me an image to look at.

And, it could be a cable compatibility matter.  These kinds of problems are among the most difficult to zero in on, so it may take some sluething to get at it.
