Expert: cleggsan Date: 7/9/2008 Subject: VCR Audio problem
Question I have a Scott video player. It was working fine all day. Now it plays the tape, video is fine, but no audio is heard. I had the same problem with a GE VCR yesterday.
Answer Please check the audio settings on the menu setup screen.
Also, check the audio output cables from the video player to the audio amplifier - sometimes they get disconnected internally and need to be reinserted.
Also, test the video player by connecting it into another amplifier or tv to see if it is working ok into another system. Since you had the same problem with another vcr the problem may be in the audio amp or tv you are running it through.
If the above steps do not lead you to the solution come back to me but give me make/model numbers for the video player and the audio playback equipment and how you have it hooked up.
