Question
After a party I realized that I had to turn the volume control up to be able to hear anything out of the speakers. Is there a fuse that might have blown? or any other simple repair or should i just take it to a repair shop?

Answer
ONE: Try a reset.  Unplug the power cord for 30 minutes, then try it again.

TWO: If that does not help, make sure you have all the selector buttons in the right setting.  For example, someone may have pushed the mute button unbeknown to you or switched the tape monitor feature on.

THREE: A shorted voice coil in one of the speakers can cause it.  Disconnect all speakers at the rear of the amp and try them one at a time.

If the above does not yield any result you may have to take it in for diagnosis and troubleshooting.  In the worst case the output transistors may have blown.  Replacing them is quite expensive because of the labor involved in getting them off the heatsink.  But, this is an Elite receiver and is good merchandise.  Worth getting repaired.
