Subject: color of picture is screwed up.
Question
My television is a projection TV, at least that's what I think you call it when it has the 3 colored lenses which reflect onto the screen. Anyways I was hoping you could help because the picture has its colors messed up where you see red and green around objects on the screen almost like when you look at a 3D picture. I don't know if you know what I mean but I'm hoping you do and know a remedy since I don't have the money to fix it.
Answer
The problem is failure of the convergence system.
It requires replacement of the two integrated circuits that perform this function.
The cost, depending on the make and model, will be around $300 to $400.
It is not a home remedy; it must be done by a competent tv repair technician.
