Question
I got a 52' projection form a friend, and it doesn't turn on at all. I push the power button and noting happens as well pushing the power button on the remote.  I am haveing trouble figuring out what is wrong can you please help?

Answer
No light on the front panel? If not, check the line cord and the outlet to make sure you are getting power to the set. If so, check for burnt fuses.  Remove the back cover and look for a fuse near where the power cord enters into the works.

Did you hear any clicking or sizzling sounds at all when the power is activated.  If not, then it may not be getting power.

If you do hear something, but nothing happens it is likely the set has gone into protection mode.  This is most often caused by a main power supply failure, bad convergence system or high voltage.  But, it takes some voltage measurements to determine where the problem lies.

Without knowing the make and model it is hard for me to guess much further so let me know after studying these comments when you have further questions.
