Question I have a 42 in DLP HD Toshiba Television it was made in 2006 it is a rear facing projection tv model #42hm66. it will turn it self off and then the power light and lamp light will flash for 5 to 10 seconds and i can turn it back on, then it will turn itself back off in another 45 minutes
Answer It will require some testing to be sure. But, I think it is a power supply failure. It will require replacement of one or two electrolytic ripple reducer capacitors. The cost of repair will be around $200, but some shops will say you need a new power supply to plug as a replacement at a huge cost of around $350, so please don't let them do that.
