TV/VCR/Stereo Troubleshooting - 60pp920217f

Expert: cleggsan - 11/3/2009

Question
I was given a Philips 60pp920217f(DPTV305F) and the picture has reds, blues, greens and yellows, and is also doubled.  Can you help me with this matter?

Answer
Not sure what the symptoms are as you explained it.  Are you saying the colors are out of registration, like a 3d picture would be?

This is almost always the convergence circuit going bad. The repair is $300 to $400. It requires the convergence ICs to be replaced and rebooted.

Seems to be a common problem:

All the best.
