Question
No sound at all...TV was given to me w/o remote control or manual

Answer
You can find the manual on the net - - - but you did not give me the model number so I cannot look it up for you.

The sound may be set to SAP; go into the on screen menu and change it to stereo and see if you get audio (you will need to acquire a remote).

A universal remote should work on your set - if the set is working...... Good Luck to you!
