In order to properly assist you, it is very important that you provide the Model number of the television and the year it was manufactured. You can find this information on the back of the TV. Please also let me know if you are trying to fix the unit or just need to know the cost for repair.

Question
QUESTION: Bought in 2005. Has been a great set. Replaced lamp once so far. Lately there have been faded green/pink or dark lines diagonally across the picture. More noticeable on some channels than others. Wondering if this could be the cable box or lamp needing replaced.
ANSWER: does it have this problem on dvd also?>

QUESTION: Yes, somewhat of a different color but still faint diagonal lines in background.
Answer
this sounds like a bad formatter board. but on your model tv you cannot buy this board. you have to send off the chassis off to mitsubishi for repair. the cost is around 250.00 and they do a rebuild.
