TV/VCR/Stereo Troubleshooting - Mitsubishi WD-62525 Screen

Expert: Rick Montgomery - 11/3/2009

Question
I have a Mitsubishi WD-62525 62" Screen TV and while playing Wii, the Wii remote slipped out of my hand and cracked the screen. I was wondering if the screen can be replaced and if it can how much will it cost and what it is called? Also would it be cheaper to replace or buy a new TV?

Answer
Brittany,
I'm sorry, but the outer screen, or Fresnil Screen, part # 491P173020 has been discontinued by Mitsubishi, and is no longer available. In my Service Center, we do not mess with the generic after-market screens that you cut down to fit, so I can not help you except to advise you to look for a non-working 62" Mitsubishi that you can get it from.
regards,
Rick
