Hi Rick; I have a Panasonic model CT-27D11DE which I bought new in December 2001. Lately a line rolls up across the screen. It resembles the line that used to roll across old tvs but they had a vertical hold button which this one does not. Can this condition be fixed, and, if so, how? Thank you; Mike

Mike,
I will need a little more specific information from you before I can begin to advise you. For starters, I need a clarification of your symptom. The "old vertical hold control" was used to adjust in case of the ENTIRE PICTURE rolling up or down by complete frames. This is totally different, and most likely even a different circuit than if your picture is not rolling, but a line is moving up or down the screen, and different yet if a line is moving ACROSS the picture. Either way, it will involve some component-level troubleshooting and testing, so if you have any technical experience, let me know. Also, do you have any tools and test equipment? Soldering equipment and skills?
