Question I have a Sony LCD TV, model number KDF-42WE655. When I turned on the TV this morning the green light flash then the red light flashes on and off several times. I never received a picture and I have tried to reset it by unplugging it and even tried another plug. I am wondering If it is something minor that someone can talk me through or do I have to send it to a shop.
Answer Shawnkiea,
Most likely you will need a Service Center. You have given me only half the information I need to tell you what is going on with your set. When something goes wrong in a Sony TV that either causes an incident of shutdown, or prevents the set from coming on at all, it registers in the memory, and displays a specific error code that will point to the circuit at fault. When the display cannot come up, the error code is displayed in the form of a blinking of the power LED (the red blinking light you see). It will blink a specific number of times, then pause and repeat. Check and let me know the number of blinks. Also, please give me the serial number off the back. it will be 7 digits long, all digits.
regards,
Rick
