Question
We have a 50" Ultravision Projection TV that just started having shadows and a red tint on the screen. We bought it used so dont really know but think its pretty old.
Answer
Seems you have a convergence circuit gone bad. The cost of repair is always around $300 plus. It requires replacement of two Integrated Circuits called STK392-xxx chips and some testing.
Since the set is quite old, you may want to think seriously if it makes good investment sense to spend so much on repairs.
