Question
Hi,
I have read your suggestions to several problems and you seem like the guy to ask! A few months ago my HDTV started taking longer and longer to cut on. It goes through a series of clicks and as of yesterday it took 6 hours to come on. I have just left it on to avoid the problem but that cannot be good for the TV.
I cannot afford an expensive repair and don't know where to take it. I got it two years ago from circut city but they are no longer in business here. I also have had it come on with a blank screen with sound and would cut it off and get the whole thing working after cutting it on and off again.
Thanks for any advice.;

Lori

Answer
Well, there is no such thing as a cheap repair on these large screens;  that is what you are in for when you buy a big screen hd tv!

It is probably a power supply problem and the cost of repair is nearly always around #200.

But, I can give you no assurance nor any reliable information without the model number - which you failed to give!

You can go here

to find a reliable repair service agency.

Let me know if you need more.
