Expert: cleggsan - 11/3/2009
Question My panasonic Tv, Model PT-61LCZ7, won't turn on occasionally. The green indicator light comes on and blinks, but the tv does not come on. We have to keep trying to turn it off (it takes several tries) to turn it back on again.
This happens with the switch or remote. I read there were recalls on some panasonic tv's for this, our was manufactured 9/07, is there a recall. How can we fix this?
Thanks,
Randy
Answer Have you checked the lamp indicators and has the lamp been replaced? I suggest you read through the manual about the adjustment and replacing of the lamp. It is a long life lamp, but they sometimes go bad. If you don't have the owners manual you can google for it and download it easily.
Especially, look at page 61 of the manual.
I don't know of any recall, but you can call the number on the front of the manual and find out.
There are few owner serviceable parts and functions in the tv so your best bet is to consult with the Panasonic assistance team.
Hope this helps.
