Question when turned on stand by/timer light will blink-this is supposed to happen, but once on the light will still blink. Also when turned off the light will continue to blink. Will only stop when unplugged. Then will start again when turned back on. Any ideas.
Answer I must have the model number and the number of blinks.
But, you can do this yourself. Go to:
http://www.techlore.com/article/15444/Understanding-Sony-Television-Blinking-Cod...
for the blinking codes that may relate to your model.
Then, do a google on your model and the main symptom. You can usually find some forum or chat room where others have had the same problem. Or, fixya.com or other sites that may already have some suggestions.
Without knowing your model number I cannot go any further except to say that power supply failures are often at the root of the blinking standby lamp.
