Question What can i do to stop the static in my stereo speakers ,when i turn the volume up?.....*pioneer receiver model#sx-203
Answer Well that depends on some specifics that you did not provide.
Is the static a constant that appears and stays at higher volume?
Or, is the static just heard when you turn the volume control?
Is the static you hear only in one or two sources, in all sources, or isolated to just one source?
Is there anything you can switch to, adjust, or otherwise do that stops or reduces the static?
If the static is just present while you rotate the volume control, then you have 2 choices. The first and best would be to replace the volume control. The cheaper fix would be to take the cover off and spray a SMALL AMOUNT of WD40 into the volume control, then rapidly turn it through it's full range for at least 30 seconds.
If it is any other condition, please answer all of the above questions on a follow up, and I will research the possibilities and get back with you.
regards,
Rick
