Question I have a Sony KDF-E50A10 which turns itself off approximately every hour and immediately turns itself back on. This happens while we are watching, and it seems to be getting more frequent. What is wrong, and how much will this cost to fix?
Answer Probably - a best guess - is leaky capacitors in the power supplies and/or voltage regulators.
Let it go until it quits; then it will be easier to find out the culprit. Cost of repair then will be around $200USD or so. Repair now may be much more because it is hard to find the culprit when the set is working ok.
