Question I have elderly relatives with a older 32"flat screen (large tv not lcd or plasma)and the video quit working on the cable in. also the rear rca video cable the audio in works fine, there is the rca jacks on the front which we are using and seems to be working fine is there a fuse or?? that would make the rear video inputs stop?
thx
Answer Marg,
I would like to try to help you, but you have omitted the one thing that I would need in order to research anything about your set, the MODEL NUMBER. It is the one thing that pinpoints your specific set and all pertinent technical information about it in the sea of different models of TV's out there.
To attempt to answer your specific question, I do not know of any make or model that has a "cable type" video input jack, so either I do not understand your question because of the name you are calling the jacks, or you have two different problems and are confusing the two. If the RCA JACKS you are using for video input are not working, then you have either a problem in your video switching circuits, or the jacks are loose and need to be resoldered. If you frequently plug and unplug wires from those jacks, then there is a good chance they have developed loose solder connections. If not, then possibly you have video switching problems. Is audio good on all inputs? Do you have any video on the rear jacks, even intermittently? Have you tried different hookup wires? Have you reseated the plugs at both ends of the wires?
regards,
Rick
