Question Hello, I have a 42" Panasonic plasma screen tv, (Model# TH-42PD60U, March 2006) that just wouldn't show a picture on the screen for no obvious reasons. The red light next to the power button on the tv would blink 8 times and then pause and start all over. I took it to a repair shop who said the problem was a dnss board? Anyway, the reason I'm asking is because the guy just seemed a little shady over the whole deal. He gave me an estimate of $600. If you could help in anyway I would surely be in your debt. Answer i think you mean SS board. testing is need to be sure. another problem is you cannot buy this board. it has to have panasonic tech approval to get one.600.00 is about the right cost parts and labor. if you want me to help you troubleshoot this?? then send me pictures of the inside of the tv and i will show you where to check. send to
