Question While watching TV last evening the TV started jumping channels, changing volume. The OFF button on the front panel worked and we shut it off for about 3 minutes or so. We powered it back on and it was fine for a few minutes and then it started jumping channels and changing volume again. After several times the OFF button on the front no longer worked and we had to unplug the unit to power it off. We left it unplugged over night and it powered up the next morning and seemed to work okay for the few minutes we left it on. Later that day we tried to watch TV and the unit will not power on now from the remote or the ON button on the front panel. The picture and sound were perfect this morning and the remote seemed to work fine but now after being plugged in all day but powered off it will not power on at all.
Answer this is very common on your model. your button assembly is shorted and going bad. you can replace the switches on this board and it will fix your tv..
