Question
Sony Wega FD Trinitron television, model: KV36HS20. when powered up either from the remote or front panel the screen is black with no display what so ever but has excellent sound. The blink code is not always the same, I have seen it blink 7 times, also 6 times and once I thought it blink 11 times. Heres the kicker if left unplugged for a few days (week maybe) the unit powers up normally and runs just fine for maybe three weeks, then no picture. This only occurs when the unit is first turned on, it doesn't happen if the while it is running. TV repair guy came to house and found nothing wrong with it.

this is very common on your model. your power supply in the tv is going bad and is in need of a repair. a cost will range around 300
