Question
Recently my Mitsubishi 47 inch TV model WS 48413, started to repeatedly go off and on for several seconds at a time, both picture and sound. This only occurs in the morning. By afternoon, it stays on through the day without any further problems. Is this a TV or a cable company problem? Thanks.

This is not a cable company problem.
This might be a DM board problem. This circuit has been a problem for Mitsubishi for some time now. It is a series of 4 to 7 capacitors that are the major problem. They need to be removed and replaced with new (good) ones. I would like to suggest that you get a qualified TV repair technician to examine and repair this TV.

I am now working full time in the TV repair industry until I can find another full time job, I know what your question is: "why don't you just work full time in the TV repair industry permanently?" Well the answer to that is simple, due to the complexity and the DIY craze, TV repair work is at best a good way to make extra money, not to rely on it for your livelihood. A sad truth, but a truth nonetheless.
