I have the same machine and i found the tension arm near the pinch roller/capstan area needs a drop (tiny sliver) of oil as does all the working parts and guides. It is best to use the correct fluids but cost may be an issue. The pinch roller(if it's worn and very wobbly this causes wavering tape wear) and  spiral gear could be cleaned and a drop of oil fed into the capstan shaft from the top will help. On the underside i would look at the capstan motor gear sprocket as they are common to split causing a "jump" as the belt goes over the split which leaves the sprocket loose on the capstan motor which can be bonded down if you cant find a replacement.
