Question
Hello, How do I get my HDTV to recognize the HDMI output from my HP Pavillion Laptop? Thanks

Answer
It is likely a driver (in the PC) or an HDMI cable problem.  Some PCs require special made cable. Some HP laptops with Windows7 need an alternate driver.  See this long thread as it may be of interest to you.
