TV/VCR/Stereo Troubleshooting/mitsibushi 65' tv problem

replaced dlp chip  no picture is all white

DLP sets are among the poorest reliability, sorry to say.

I suppose you have replaced the lamp also?

With out the model number I cannot give any specific details for your set, so I listed a few items to investigate above.  Their are other good sites to get by googling.

Mitsubishi is famous for failure of the light engine.  Replacement is always quite expensive. Depending on your model it could go as high as $300 - or more.

Don't know your location but here in Las Vegas craigslist has curb pickup for free sometimes DLP sets.  Or, often they are listed for sale as low as $50. Seems those who have had to replace the lamp a couple of times decide to switch over to flat screen LCD models that can be wall mounted.

So, check the URLs listed above and do some googling around for your model number and your symptoms and you may find a good remedy.

If the set has a new chip and new lamp then it's pointing to the optical engine; drats.

Let me know if you need more.
