TV/VCR/Stereo Troubleshooting/TV/VCR Troubleshooting

I'm hooking my LG TV to the VCR. The picture is showing in black and white. How do I fix that? Thanks!

Probably it is the VCR that is not giving out a color picture. Not uncommon with an older VCR that has a badly worn or dirty video head inside.  Also, there are tracking settings in VCRs that can cause loss of color when badly out of adjustment. Have you tried making those adjustments?  You should find a control somewhere on the VCR that is marked for adjusting tracking

The above web page gives some suggestions on setting the control.

Let's hope that is the problem.  If not, give me a follow up reply but I need the model numbers for the tv and the vcr so I can dig up their technology.

Let's hope this will solve the problem.  I give it a 50/50 probability.

PS:  If you are playing an old vcr tape it might be recorded in B/W.  Try a few different tapes to make sure it is not old or worn out tapes.
