Subject: Antenna or TV?

Question
Dear Mr. George,

I have a couple of questions. My TV(RCA model F32632SBI)right now, use an indoor antenna model rabbit ear and the circle in the middle.
It can not get for channel 11(CBS) and 13(abc)but can get
any other channel although sometime are not very good and clear.

I do not subscribe any cable or sat.
I need to get my local channels only.
Do you think somewrong with my TV or I need to use out side antenna? If the problem with antenna, what kind of antenna should I use? How much do they typically cost?
The house I bought is wired for cable. Do you think I can connect from the indoor cable with the outside antenna?
I live in Sylvania, Toledo Ohio, Some TV station are close to my house.
Thank you for your help.

David

Answer
david, I do not live in the states hence some of the question cannot be answered but technically the bigger and higher the antenna is, the better the reception is (in broad terms)
I suggest a Big UHF/VHF antenna from Radioshack or similar and a run of quad shield RG6 coaxial cable. Cost might be around 150$ but I cannot tell for sure if the channels you are not receiving relate to the rabbit ears!!

Good luck

N George
