Subject: Intelligent VCR programming

Question
Are there any VCRs left out there which either use VCR+ codes or allow you to use the number pad to enter in channel and times?!?  All the ones I see on the market now use the dumbed down approach, requiring use of the arrows to cycle thru 125 channel nos. and 24 hrs. of time ... absolutely obnoxious!!

Answer
I have at home a Panasonic VCR and a combo Samsung DVD/VCR and they are both very easy to program mainly thru the use of up/down/left/right arrows, can take you 30 seconds to add a timer program. Having said that I am not familiar with VCR+ so my reply is about normal timer programming.

Regards

N George
