Question I have a Kreisen 27" LCD TV. The power went out for a few minutes in my apt. and now the tv shows no signs of life. Tried several outlets that I tested and are working. I had some trouble the first time that I turned it on. But I don't remember that I did anything special to get it to come on. The tv is about 8 months old. I have repeatedly tried to turn it on. I am now trying the hard reset that you suggested to another person. If this doesn't work, do you have any other suggestions? I am paying for how cheap the tv was. The tech support seems to be nonexistent. Thanks for your help.
Answer Yes, do the hard reset.
If no result, check the line cord and make sure you are getting power into the set. A bad line cord is quite frequent in the lower priced sets.
Also, there may be an internal fuse. If you can get into the works see if you can find anything that is replaceble.
http://www.encrossenterprise.com/ is the url for support for this product, made by Chemie of China. Distributed by Target, Tiger direct and others. You should be able to get service and technical information through the retailer you bot it from.
The manual is quite good and has an interesting troubleshooting chart on page 43. Did you check it out?
You might want to disconnect all inputs and sort of start over from the beginning just to make sure you don't have something connected that is defeating some of the automatic features.
However, if it is defective you will need service. If you are technical in nature you won't find it difficult to track down the ac voltage and find out where it is NOT getting into the main power supply. But if you are not knowledgeable about such things, you better take it to the designated repair facility (for which Target or Tiger Direct should be able to help you with.
Hope this helps, but get back to me if you have more questions.
