TV/VCR/Stereo Troubleshooting/RCA HDTV (D52W23 - 2005)

Question
I got a new (well used, from a friend) RCA flat screen HDTV and when I got home and pressed the power button, instead of turning on it did this:

1. Made a strange high pitch squeak (like a mouse squeal)
2. Power light came on for 2 seconds and then off
3. Repeated steps one and two 3 times
4. Shut off


The tv was working fine before we moved it so I'm worried about possible damage during the move. Do you know what is the problem with it?

this tv is junk. we have tons of problems with them. we get them running and take the out to the home and they do not work. pull them back to the office and they are fine.....
they have a signal board with surface mounted ic chips. they get bad connections on them and cause this. the problem is they cannot be re-soldered. it has to be done by factory. so we order a new one and 50/50 shot it happens again.
i would return it to your friend and say no thanks. will cause you way less trouble.
my next door neighbors just bought one two weeks ago from walmart 950.00. i told them i was changing the name on my repair truck to (plumbing repair) so when it breaks they wont call me :)
