Subject: Samsung 52-in. rear projection issue

Question
I have a Samsung 52-in. rear projection TV(model#PCJ522R is what the back of it says) that isn't working properly at the moment. I used my remote to turn it on this afternoon, and the red power light went on, but I got no picture, and no sound. I tried to turn it off, but the power light will not shut down. I unplugged it for awhile, and when I plugged it back in, the power light went back on automatically.  Any advice or suggestions as to what might have caused this and how I could possibly go about fixing it? TV's are too expensive today...I don't want to have to buy a new one!

Answer
Apologies as I am not into repair at all but into wiring and connection of different devices.
Actually repair is what is soaring but TV prices are dropping making it more difficult every day to repair a TV unless the fault is very minor.

Good luck

N George
