Subject: connecting my tv,tivo, dvd, and direct tv to my stereo

Question
I have an old stereo and a new tv, which has tivo, a dvd player and direct tv hooked up to it. I ca not figure out how to hook every thing up so I can hear the tv through my stereo. Can you help me? I also have a powered subwoofer that's not hooked up.

Answer
Des,

If this is a new Tv, it will probably have an AV out port, in which case, provided your stereo has an audio in line, connect an RCA cable from TV audio out to stereo audio in, select line or Aux or whatever they call the source on this stereo and you should be playing anything from Tv to stereo.

Good luck

N George
