Question I cannot get the DVD player to work with my RCA Colotrack console TV that was purchased about 15 years ago. We are hooking it up to the VCR port using regular cables. I cannot get it to work.
Answer Sounds to me like a mismatch or incompatability.
DVDs have no RF out they connect to the outside world by one (or more) of these forms:
Composite AV
Component RGB + Audio
S-video + Audio
So as a start you need to make sure your TV is equipped with one of those.
If not than the way you have it currently connected to the VCR and then to the TV would be the only way to go, not the best picture though.
