Question I bought a Zenith 42" plasma tv and after my warranty expired,(2years), I was watching the tv, heard a pop and the screen went black with no sound. I took it in to have it looked at and was told it was a bad module. Is this the probable cause ? Price of fix was $400 to $2000, The tv cost $1500 on sale.
Answer I am not into repair at all but have heard of a few glitches on flat screen that's why (not that it matters not but for the future) I strongly recommend the extended warranty with these gadgets, the longer the better.
I cannot indicate what cost we could be looking at but based on this calculation of yours and estimate I would only go ahead if I am at the bottom of the range.
