Question
I'm an okay at my kicking speed but i wanna get faster, what excercises can i do?
(13 year old girl)

But also, i live in an apartment and I can't find anywhere to train. HELP ME T_T

Answer
hi shin, thanks for the question

taekwondo is very fast and so it will help if you are faster. If you want to increase your speed, a handy tip is to buy some ankle weights, put them on and start kicking with them as fast as you can. The weight of the ankle bracelet depends on your body type and current strength, try and keep it to the point where it doesn't weigh you down too much.

After doing a few sets of kicks, take the ankle bracelets off and do the same reps of the kicks. Train like this in your own time every two days maximum as your legs will need time to rest and repair torn muscle tissue (sounds bad but is perfectly normal :D).

A side note - Taekwondo's best practitioners are extremely fast however its not the only virtue they hold. If you want to be the best you can be, strive for a balance of speed, strength and power as well as having the mental discipline that makes the best of our kind so fearless.

Hope this helps, if you have any further questions feel free to ask, thanks !

Saleem
