About Magda Vince
Expertise
I can answer questions about general living, working, visiting, and traveling in Taiwan. Especially Taipei city, I have lived and worked in Taiwan for the past several years. I CANNOT read or write Chinese, but I speak well enough to get by. I'm not an expert on postal codes and services, please check this site or contact the Taiwanese postal service via this site to find the postal codes you might be seeking. http://www.post.gov.tw/post/internet/u_english/postal_e.jsp

Experience
I speak enough Chinese to get by, but by no means am I fluent, so I am aware of both sides of the language coin. I live and work (teaching English) in Taipei city, and have travelled around to places like Hualien, Toroko, Tai Dong, Green Island, Ken ting, Kao Shiung, Tai Nan, Sun Moon lake and Tai Jung. Plus locations all over the northern tip of the island. At one point or another I have been into the clubbing, beaching and outdoor scenes alternately over the past few years, so I have a fairly eclectic knowledge base. Ask away, and I'll do my best to help you out :D. Magda

Question
CAN YOU TELL ME THE 5 DIGIT ZIP CODE FOR HSINCHU CITY, TAIWAN? THANKS!

Answer
Sorry I don't know.

I know that Hsinchu's postal codes start with a 3 and it would only be 3 digits not five.  But if you're sending something to someone you should ask them for their postal code as it changes depending on the district of the city.  If this is your address and you're looking for your own postal code, just ask a neighbor or a local business in your neighborhood.  For example it could be 312 or 345 or 372 depending on the  area.  The only way to find out is to ask someone locally or at the post office.

But to be perfectly honest you don't need the postal code mail will get there without it.  Most people don't even use the postal code.  It just speeds up delivery by a day or two (supposedly but I've never noticed it being any different).

Especially if the Address is written in English, most English speakers here don't know their postal code and it not a problem.
