Question
I will be going to Taiwan on Monday, October 26, 2009 and have a stopover for about 6 hours enroute to Vancouver, I would like to go to Xinbeitou area for the Pacific Wellness Spa or ShanYue Spring Hotel. What is the fastest way of reaching either of these hot springs?

If you are going to be at the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, it is quite far from the city of Taipei and from Xinbeitou. While there are buses and transfers to the high speed rail available, your best bet for speed will likely be a taxi. A typical taxi fare to Taipei is approx. NT$1,100.
