Answer
Hi Bill.

If you go to http://www.post.gov.tw/post/internet/u_english/postal_e_1.jsp to find this address, you won't be able to because "Ching Kuo Road " doesn't exist in either the Hanyu Pin Yin or Tongyong Pin Yin (two types of romanization systems) lists. That is because "Ching Kuo" is the Wade-Giles romanization for the name of this road. While often used in Taiwan by tradition, it isn't the current official system.

So you have to first find out what the correct "spelling" of the road should be. Easiest is to use the Wade-Giles to Pinyin conversion chart available at http://library.duke.edu/research/subject/guides/chinese_studies/search_the_catal (Also at Library of Congress, at http://www.loc.gov/catdir/pinyin/romcover.html.)

Using the conversion chart, you can easily see that the correct name of the road using Hanyu Pinyin is "Jing Guo " Road. Now go back to the Chunghwa Post website, and plug in "TaoYuan County" and "Taoyuan City" in the top fields, and "Jing" in the road name field (leaving the last field to "All Sections"). By doing so, you will get a list of all roads in Taoyuan that start with "Jing."

The list includes several entries for "Jingguo Rd." Find the line that includes the zip code for "Odd No. 1 to 51" and you will see that the five digit zip is 33050 .

Hope that helps!

Best,
Lotta
