Question
QUESTION: Hello, I have been studying Chinese the past couple of years and am thinking of spending a month in Taiwan to soak up the sound and practice a little speaking. Most of my study has been reading. I am wondered if it is possible to stay in a Buddhist temple for the month, participate in the life of the place, and soak up the language? Thank you for your response, zai jian, Chuck
ANSWER: welcome to Taiwan
it is possible, but I have to find which temple is suitable for you.
Do you read traditional or simplified Chinese?
When do you plan to come?  How much do you know about Taiwan?
What place do you wanna stay?
I am busy this month, I will search information for you later.
You can ask me further questions if you have.

QUESTION: Thanks for your response. In answer to your questions: I read traditional characters (worked on the Classical for two years, and the modern for this past year); I am aiming to come over this October; I know some general things about Taiwan and its history; and I am thinking of staying on the east coast, either Hualien or Taitung. I'm in no rush, so please respond at your leisure. Again, xie xie, Chuck
