About Magda Vince
Expertise I can answer questions about general living, working, visiting, and traveling in Taiwan. Especially Taipei city, I have lived and worked in Taiwan for the past several years. I CANNOT read or write Chinese, but I speak well enough to get by.
Experience I speak enough Chinese to get by, but by no means am I fluent, so I am aware of both sides of the language coin. I live and work (teaching English) in Taipei city, and have travelled around to places like Hualien, Toroko, Tai Dong, Green Island, Ken ting, Kao Shiung, Tai Nan, Sun Moon lake and Tai Jung. Plus locations all over the northern tip of the island. At one point or another I have been into the clubbing, beaching and outdoor scenes alternately over the past few years, so I have a fairly eclectic knowledge base. Ask away, and I'll do my best to help you out :D. Magda

Answer I need a little more specific information to answer you. It depends are you moving here, traveling? How long will you stay? What seasons?
Summer is very hot by north American Standards usually 80-100% humidity and 35-42 degrees C. Spring and Fall vary, from 20-36 C. And winter can feel pretty cold due to the humidity, while it's usually 10-15 it can drop to 5, which is a lot colder than it sounds due to humidity and no heating in most buildings. It also really depends on what you're going to be doing, working, driving a scooter etc... The north (Taipei etc, is a lot chillier in the winter than the south, KaoShuing and Taidong and Kending even though they are not that far away)
cheers Magda
