Thanks for the quick answer. I am a teacher, just retired, and have been writing a beginning reading and writing textbook/parent-teacher manual for the past 20 years. It was originally to help parents of 3rd graders, whose children were not reading. It became such a valuable tool for me that I kept a copy on my desk and made copies for my students. Soon the principal had copies made for all 1-2nd grade students. It is a quick, painless, fun way to teach reading based on letter sounds only. Writing is taught first, before reading. But before anything, I teach my students to draw, paint neatly with watercolors and work jigsaw puzzles with strategies. It is very effective especially for children with dyslexia. I can teach this method to anyone in a few hours and they, in turn, can teach it. It will never be accepted into public schools because I have overturned the myth that all of this is hard and needs millions of dollars, besides I don't have advanced degrees, and I have never read a teacher's manual. I depend on inspiration and intuition and encourage others to do the same. I want to give it freely to all developing countries, and maybe I can sell it here. I also made a DVD of my drawing and painting lesson, which is included in the book and can also be sold separately.
