Question
Hi Ron,

My husband and I are excited to be relocating from Chicago to Tampa in October/November and have been looking at MLS listings on the Internet for fun.  We see many great houses with swimming pools in our price range (which is pretty high) but they appear to be in subdivisions "out in the middle of nowhere."
We enjoy an urban lifestyle (as opposed to a suburban lifestyle) and I am hoping that you can suggest some Tampa neighborhoods with a "neighborhood feel" where we can have a house with a secluded pool and still be able to walk to the grocery, restaurants and the local tavern.

Any ideas?

Thanks for your time.

Sincerely,

April Ames

There are so many areas to chose that I couldnt even begin to highlight everything in one email.  When my family moved to Tampa from NYC, we moved to an area called North Tampa.
It has since been renamed to New Tampa and it went from a semi-rural area to a bustling suburban setting in 9 short years.
Questions which are relevant should include:
1) School age children??
2) Proximity to Gulf?
3) Master Planned Community (many are gated) or traditional neighborhood?
4) Golf course home?  Beach front Condo?
5) $100,000 homes or $1,000,000 homes
Tampa Bay has it all.
I live in a place called Hunters Green.
Hillsborough County, Pinellas County, Pasco County.....
Some many places to chose.....

Can I offer you some advice?  Talk to a professional realtor.  Many friends of mine are in the business, I am not.
If you send me an email to rmderenzo@aol.com, I can recommend my buddies.  They all cover diferent parts of the Tampa Bay marketplace.

Bottom line:  YOU WILL LOVE IT HERE!

Team 813, is our little network of friends, and it grows each year.  (813- Tampa area code)
