Hi. My wife and I are in our fifties and plan on buying a townhouse or condo to live in the Tampa area and surrounding areas. In your opinion, what will be good areas to live that provide the best of everything. If you are so kind to give me a list of areas that you consider are attractive to live or some areas that I should avoid(flood,crime,etc.).I'm not from Florida and we are totally confused. Someone told us about Largo, but we just don't know. Any or all help will be extremely appreciated.
Thank yo
Tom.
There are so many places to suggest, I wouldnt know how to narrow the choices, but let me try.
Pasco County, Pinellas County, Hillsborough Counties make up the greater Tampa Bay Area.
Depending upon your needs/wants, you can be at the beach or a heavily wooded area.
Clearwater/Largo/Palm Harbor/St. Pete are all in Pinellas
Brandon/New Tampa/Valrico/Town and Country are all in Hillsborough
Wesley Chapel/Zephyrhills/Dade City are all in Pasco County
Visit TBO.COM to get some ideas.
I have a ton of friends in the Real Estate business, who cover all 3 counties, so if you need some referrals, let me know...
Depending on your budget, you can find almost anything you want, in the Tampa Bay area...excpet of course, for snow.
Thank you so much for the answer. Where are the heavily wooded areas? I'm more interested in that enviorment. My wife likes the beach, but I'm assuming it's a close drive away.I am definitely interested in referrals if you can supply them.
Answer Pasco County and Hillsborough County have areas which are heavily wodded. I, for one, live in an area called New Tampa which features conservation lots backing up on thousands of acres of wild forest, complete with deer, boar, bobcats, etc. This area is 60 miles from the coast.
My real estate contacts are all friends and cover different locations.
If you email me direct at rmderenzo@aol.com I will supply you with the names of those buddies.
