Question
I plan on doing volunteer work this summer in Tanzania for a month or longer through either I-to-I, cross cultural solutions or global crossroads. I was wondering how safe it is to do volunteer work in Tanzania? They usually have you stay with a local host family, is that safe? Do you know of any trustworthy volunteer organizations?
Thanks so much,
Jackie

Answer
Hello Jackie,
how are you. First of all i want to thank you for going in Tanzania and do volunteer work, we need people like you overthere.

To answer your questions Tanzania is one of the safe countries in Africa. You don't need to worry about that, and it depends which organisation you work with but most they give you house or a place to stay.,is not that common overthere to stay with host family. Current i don't know any organization to work with, but i will find it for you. and email you.

take care and i hope i give you an idea about tanzania,,you can ask me anything i will be happy to tell you.

Anna.
