Question We have visited Kenya on a number of occasions, always in September in the hope of seeing the migration which we were lucky enough to see the last time.
We are hoping to visit again in 2003, combining with a safari in Tanzania but would like this visit to take place at the time of year the babies are arriving, but not during the long rains. What month would you suggest?

Answer Dear Jean
Many thanks for your question regardng the best time to see the young in Tanzania. For young mammals the best time to travel is January or February time.
In the Serengeti National Park, the zebra foals are born in January and the wildebeest just a little later in Febuary
This season is between the short and long rains and a good time to visit both Tanzania and Kenya.
