Question We will travel through kenya, tanzania and uganda in july and august. We would like to travel by bus can you give me some information on the busses there? Or tell me where I can find that information?
Are there also some budget hostels in Tanzania (dodoma, dar es salaam, zanzibar, serengeti) you can Advise me? And which parts of Tanzania should be avoided, considering safety?
Is it possible to pass the Tanzanian Border from Uganda, and where?
Thanks in Advande.
Kind regards,

Answer Dear Mi
Your best bet for up to date travel information is to buy a Lonely Planet travel guide which will give all the information you need on buses and will give names and prices for different hostels in Tanzania. Buses never run on time so the book will give you a guide and then you just have to turn up. Buses go everywhere so you will have no problem finding one to your chosen destination. You can start by having a look at http://www.lonelyplanet.com/destinations/africa/tanzania/
You can get from Tanzania to Uganda but its not an easy journey as a very long journey across Tanzania. Its a great trip I did it 8 years ago but we had our own vehicle, however there is not much to see on the way its very dry, hot and flat. A better bet would be to get a boat from Mwanza across Lake Victoria to Uganda or vice versa. You would have to check Lonely Planet for details though.
When you are there you will meet other travellers who will tell you how they got from A to B so I would not plan too much in advance and take local and travellers advice once you are there.
You can actually fly between Uganda and Northern Tanznaia so if you are short of time this maybe your best bet.
